The Information on 59th Myanmar Gems Emporium, 2024

1.               The significant 59th Myanmar Gems Emporium, 2024 under the supervision of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, will be held from May 3 to 12, 2024 at Maniyadanar Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.

2.               The reserve price for Genuine Myanmar Pearl lots will be set in US Dollars (USD) but payment for pearl lots must be made in US Dollars (USD) or designated foreign currency.

3.               Gems Lots will be sold in US Dollars (USD) but payment must be made in US Dollars (USD) or Euro (EUR) or Chinese Yuan (CNY) or Thai Baht (THB) which is an equivalent amount in US Dollars (USD). Jade Lots will also be sold in US Dollars (USD) but payment must be made in US Dollars (USD) or Euro (EUR) or Chinese Yuan (CNY) or Thai Baht (THB) which is an equivalent amount in US Dollars (USD) for both (A) and (B) Group Jade Lots.

4.               Pearl, gems and jade lots will be put up for sale through open tender system and specified reserve prices are as follows:-

5.               Foreign visitors who are eligible for the following qualifications will be granted admission to the 59th Myanmar Gems Emporium, 2024 excluding those blacklisted for their default on payment in the previous emporiums:-

(a) Those who requested the invitation card through the local represented companies.

(b) Those who requested the invitation card through the Foreign Jade Associations.

(c) Those who requested to receive the invitation card through the respective

Embassies and Consulate - General.

(d) Those Foreign visitors are permissible to make bids for the lots up to the minimum amount of deposit to be paid by the type of lots and the amount permitted to bid are as follows:-

6.               Making bids for lots more than the permitted limit is required to make additional deposit (10% of its value) to the Central Committee of Emporium (Deposit) Account opened at Myanma Economic Bank (Nay Pyi Taw). Deposit must be made by the following deadline:-

7.       Starting from April 24, 2024, the process of deposit payment and issuing entrance card for foreign gems merchants in advance will be carried out at the Maniyadanar Jade Hall, Registration Office.

8.               Application Forms for admission to Emporium can be downloaded and submitted via Online Preregistration System on website www.mge.gov.mm, provided by Myanmar Gems Enterprise starting from March 23, 2024.

9.               The requirements to make the entrance card are as follows:-

(a)           Name, Passport and National Scrutiny Card No. (Passport Issuing Country),

(b)           Clear Photocopy of Passport,

(c)            Clear two passport photos taken within one month,

(d)           Complete contact information, (to state Phone No., Fax No., E-mail and address),

(e)           Admission fee – US$ 100,

(f)             Every Merchant must submit the Certificate of fully vaccination. The Medical cost for testing Covid-19 and Health insurance premium will be borne by oneself.

10.      Foreign gems merchants attending the Emporium are not allowed to wear indecent outfits such as shorts, shirts/T-shirt, singlet, and must attend the emporium with the following specified outfits:

(a)   Man - Western-Suit; Long sleeves shirt (White or Blue color), trouser, shoes / Walking shoes (for Exhibition Opening Day only),

                  - collared shirt (white or only light colors) and trouser (non sportswear) (for Other Days)

(b)   Lady– Mari, Midi skirt/trouser and smart workwear (non crop top/tank top/ too low or plunging neckline outfits.)

11.           Unless the buyer himself pays the deposit, makes payment for purchased lots and arranges transportation, the buyer can delegate someone to do so by submitting the legal delegation process to the Administrative Work Committee. Those who did not have the right to purchase Lot(s), the transferring of paid deposit process will be allowed only after that transferor, receiver and respective represented company have signed in front of the Administrative Work Committee.

12.           Buyers, themselves or their authorized representatives shall settle payment for the purchases within 90-day deadline as prescribed by the Sales Agreement. In case of the buyer’s failure to purchase, action will be taken in accordance with the rule, regulation and stipulation concerned.

13.     Shipment of fully paid purchase to the buyer is made under the EXW(EX Works)System. Purchase will be timely dispatched once the buyer, himself or his authorized representative has made full payment for the purchase. Emporium Central Committee will be responsible for only loading the merchandise onto the Transportation Vehicles from the Emporium Hall.
